Newton（NS21、DT11）

２線が通る駅ですが、駅としてはそれほど大きい駅ではありません。

Orchardのように直結のモールがあるわけではなく、買い物客でにぎわうというよりは、ローカルの人も多く利用するオフィス街、

住宅街となっています。

駅前には観光客にも有名なホーカーセンターがあり、ローカルフードを気軽に楽しむことができます。

DT(青)を使えば、異文化を楽しめるLittle India（DT12）、携帯のリペアやアクセサリを扱うお店がたくさんあるRochor（DT13）、

若い人向けの洋服屋さんや、小さなおしゃれな飲食店、ショップの多いBugis（DT14）、Bayfront（DT16）等にもアクセスができます。

オーチャード近くで、予算を抑えたい方や、都心でも少し静かなところに住みたい方にはおすすめのエリアです。

Novena（NS20）

ショッピングモールのVelocityやSquare2、DON DON DONKI（ドン・キホーテ）もあり買い物便がよく、病院、塾も充実していますが、

住宅街がメインとなっています。

子供向けのお店が多く、小さなお子様がいらっしゃるファミリーにおすすめです。

お子様の成長に合わせて、通塾のタイミングでこのエリア近辺にお引越しを検討されるお客様も多いです。

また、他の都心部と比べると、比較的低予算で駅の近くや広めの物件を探しやすいため、単身者、人数の多いファミリーの方も探しやすいエリアです。

Newton

Unlike Orchard area which is surrounded by shopping malls, Newton is more of an office and residential area.  As it consists of 2 MRT lines (NS21 / DT11), Newton MRT station has a huge human traffic flow despite it being a small station. With Downtown line, you can easily visit attractions like Little India and Bugis (DT14) where Kampong Glam is. Rochor (DT13) which is only 2 stations away, is similar to Japan’s Akihabara as it offers many electronic gadgets at a cheaper price. Using North-South line, it only takes up to 15 minutes to CBD (Orchard, Somerset . Newton is a great option for foreign expatriates who want to stay in a quiet region but still nearby the city center. The famous Newtown food circus is also just around the station so there is no hassle buying a good meal.

Novena

Located in the central region of Singapore, Novena is an accessible and desirable neighborhood option for many people. with Novena MRT and an amount of bus stops around the station, you can reach famous attractions like Orchard, Little India, Marina Bay Sands etc. Most of the residential properties In Novena are condominiums, with few choices for landed properties together with some grand mansions of the super wealthy and embassies.

Shopping malls like Velocity, United Square, and Novena Shopping Mall can also be accessed via underpass from Novena MRT. These malls not only offer retail shops but also other dining and entertainment options. One shopping highlight is DON DON DONKI which can be seen coming right out of the MRT station. Aside from the regular commercial malls to choose from, the residents can also visit local markets and food centers - Balestier Market, Whampoa Market and Adam Road Food Centre which sells many cheap local delicacies.

Novena is especially convenient for professionals working in the city center due to its central location. Many foreign families are also attracted to this neighbourhood as there are quite a few pre-schools, primary schools, and secondary schools including International Schools around Novena. Japanese School also include their school bus route around Novena. To add on, Novena is also well known for its density of tuition center operation. Even on weekend, many tend to bring their children for classes and enrichment courses.

Last but not least, one of Singapore’s oldest hospital – Tan Tock Seng Hospital is also in the area. There are also other national medical institutions, including the National Neuroscience Institute of Singapore and National Skin Centre which are not far from one another.
